How do I begin getting setup on Callingpoint?
You are about to save a alot of money over your current carrier!
STEP 1: You need a CDMA phone to activate.
Typically CDMA pre-owned customer owned handsets will be eligible for activation on our service, for voice dialing and standard text messaging. Due to the software loaded into the handsets, Callingpoint will not guarantee that the advanced features such as picture messaging, data services, and BREW will work.
For best results, please use a Callingpoint approved handset. You can find them on our website.
If you are porting over from Verizon Wireless, Alltel, or Sprint - Most likely you can bring your current "CDMA" compatible device along with you, We will tell you, when you submit your new activation or port-in activation, whether the device you want to use is eligible or not. A $15 dollar fee does apply if you wish to bring your own device.
STEP 2: Make a decision - do you want a NEW NUMBER or do you want to PORT a number in?
You need to decide if you are going to want a NEW PHONE NUMBER from us or or if you want to PORT a phone number into us from another carrier.
If you want to get a new phone number, then you want to choose NEW ACTIVATION radio button on the
signup for service webpage.
If you want to port a number in, then you want to choose START A NEW PORT radio button on the
signup for service webpage.
STEP 3: Pick a plan and purchase your plan.
Once you have your phone picked out, activated it with a new number or ported your existing number in from another carrier, you need to pick a plan.
